Battery Health Monitor
Batteries are major source of power backup
for equipment running on this. These are
also as heart of any critical equipment. The
end user is concerned for using battery
bank, he actually is not aware about the
status of individual mono block of battery,
& this unconsciousness introduces
unrequired battery back-up failure in
critical time. In the past time the battery
monitor consisted of a voltmeter on the DC bus, through some ground fault detection but
80% of all battery failures are connection
path related i.e. any mono block failure.
So, the role of observation process has been
introduced. In ever increasing spirals of
demand and sophistication, everything
including stationary batteries is fair game
for some form of observation.
Operation
As BHM is connected with individual mono
block of a battery. It keeps an eye on any
changes in voltage of any monoblock of
battery and gives an alarm & indication
whenever there is undesirable voltage change
occurs in mono block, so that one should
change that particular faulty monoblock to
save all other monoblock.
Features
Shows voltage of individual cells one by one
on its digital meter and gives indication &
alarm for faulty mono block, panel meters
are provided for Individual cell and bus
voltage.
